From the airport trains to the city centre run every 15 minutes into Piccadilly train station; the average journey time is 20 minutes. The University is within walking distance of the Piccadilly train station and there are taxis readily available outside the station. There is also a bus service that leaves from outside the station at Bus Stop C. The Oxford Road Link 147 bus service runs every ten minutes throughout the day, Monday to Friday between 7.15am and 6.51pm. A single journey costs 50p and a Day Rover, giving unlimited travel on the route, costs £1.

However, both the Manchester Aquatics Centre multi-storey car park on Booth Street East and the multi-storey on Charles Street offer paid public secure parking. Based at busy Oxford Road, the ultramodern building is the largest lecture theatre in Manchester, with a 1100-seat auditorium which can be divided into a 600 and a 400-seat theatre to offer maximum flexibility.
